DISCLAIMER:  Just because I recommend these books it does not mean that I agree with every single thing said.  However I do agree with the vast majority of what is contained in these books.  The apostle Paul offers some good advice that I will suggest when reading any book: “But examine everything carefully; hold fast to that which is good” (1 Thess 5:21).

Highly Recommended Books

Watchman NeeI give the works of Watchman Nee my highest recommendation.  I find his writings vastly different from much of the Christian literature you will find today.  This is because Watchman Nee does not give you methods and techniques to improve your Christian life.  Rather, he feeds you Christ Himself, who is the Bread of Life (John 6:35).  These are a small list of his works that I have read thus far.  I plan to read a lot more of his works in the future.

A brief overview on his life can be found on Wikipedia here.

If you do not wish to make any purchases at this time or if you simply wish to preview the books before buying, here is a link to all of his completed works FREE!

Physical HealingWhat do the scriptures teach with regard to physical healing?  How can we have faith for healing if we do not know what scripture teaches? If healing is for today, how do we appropriate it?

These are many opinions and resources on this subject.  However, of all the books on the subject that I have read, this one seems to be the best starting point because it gives you a basic biblical foundation as to what scripture teaches concerning healing.   A FREE copy of the book is available online to those who do not wish to make any purchases or who want to sample the book before buying.

Christ the Healer - By FF Bosworth

ChurchHave you ever observed that much of our Church practices do not align with what is found in the Bible?  Have you ever longed for more to your “church” experience?  Then these book are for you.

Pagan Christianity traces the historical roots of most of our modern church practices. Shockingly, it finds that most do not derive from early Christianity or the Bible but rather pagan culture.  It also gives some recommendations for practicing Church as it was done in the first century.

The Untold Story of the New Testament Church examines the New testament books in chronological order. It then shows what events occurred and in what order.  This examination of scripture unveils Biblical church principals that are not commonly spoken of in church.

From Eternity to Here unfolds God’s eternal purpose for and through His Church.  “His intent was that now, through the church, the manifold wisdom of God should be made known to the rulers and authorities in the heavenly realms,  according to his eternal purpose that he accomplished in Christ Jesus our Lord.” (Eph 3:10-11)
